JOEL OBI scores first Serie A goal

Inter Milan midfielder,Joel Obi scored his first goal for his Serie A side in Sunday's 2-1 win and quickly dedicated the strike to his family.Obi,who had been trying to open his goal account for Il Biscione, was delighted with his goal. He was quoted as saying by the official website of Inter Milan: ''I'm happy with the goal.I finally did it after so many matches, even though it was half an own-goal.I dedicate it to my family and all my friends whom I love and who have always supported me.'' Adds Obi: ''The great performance of the whole team, especially because today the result counted. It was important for the standings. Today I also did well in defence, because it was also my task to cover at the back. Gradually we're getting used to Stramaccioni's work methods and this is also fundamental. I like my role.I have a lot of freedom, both in attack and in defence''.Meanwhile, Italy's number one sports daily La Gazzetta Dello Sport reported yesterday that Joel Obi could be one of the players to be used as make- weight in the deal by Inter Milan to land the highly rated Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi.
