Nigeria v Egypt friendly match called off due to sponsorship issues

The International friendly match between Egypt and Nigeria has been cancelled. Goal.com learnt that the match will no longer be played because the sponsor of the game that was supposed to take place next week in Abu Dhabi pulled out. The Egyptian side have been in camp for months and the Super Eagles just resumed camping on Monday in Abuja. Musa Amadu, secretary general of the Nigeria Football Federation,said that they are still studying the situation and will come out with a statement when everything is clear. "We are going to get a confirmation from the Egyptian Football Association, and after that we will know what to do," Amadu said. The match is likely to be rescheduled to another date.
