KHADIRI IKHANA unveiled as Super Falcons coach,to earn N3m monthly

THE newly appointed Head Coach of Nigeria’s senior female team, Khadiri Ikhana will be taking home a monthly salary of N3 million.Ikhana disclosed this to newsmen on Wednesday during his unveiling ceremony by the Nigeria Football Federation at the FIFA goal project in Abuja, even as the football house handed him a seeming difficult task of ensuring that the Super Falcons qualified for all the championships that are taking place for the next four years.Maigari charged the new coach to ensure that the six- time African champions return to winning ways by qualifying for all the scheduled continental championships and winning them as well as the Female World Cup in 2015 and the Rio-De-Jenerio Olympics in 2016. Apart from the Super Falcons job, the former Enyimba International of Aba handler has been given the authority to oversee the other female teams and to make his inputs to the coaching crew any time he believes he should intervene. ‘Kadiri Ikhana is a very good coach and that is why we decided to engage him for the task of rebuilding our female national team who have failed to qualify for some important championships including the forthcoming London 2012 Olympic Games,’ said Maigari ‘He has the task of repositioning the Super Falcons who have the enviable record of winning six of the seven African Women Championships and I believe he can do it.’
