VVV Venlo May offer UCHEBO new contract
VVV Venlo have made a U-turn
regarding the contract situation of the
Nigerian striker Michael Uchebo.Previously,it was reported that the
former Nigeria youth-teamer will be
leaving the Limburg based club at the end of the season.Uchebo's recent performances in the
Eredivisie has tilted the scales in his
favor as Venlo are now interested in
activating the clause in his contract of
an additional two seasons.''Michael thinks it's time for another
chapter.On the other hand,for the
first time since coming to VVV Venlo,he is really happy.''But we now await the playoffs first, and will then resolve. Not only
finances play a role,Michael needs a
longer stay,'' Uchebo's agent,Tony
Harris told Voetbal International. The 22-year-old is on the radar of
clubs in Ukraine and Russia (Terek
Grozny).Should Uchebo remain with
Venlo next season,he would be
smiling to the bank with at least
450,000 euros (90 million Naira) as annual wages.
